Eggs & Berries @ Westgate, Singapore

Being an absolute brunch lover, I am always on the hunt for good brunch places. When Eggs & Berries opened another outlet at Westgate - the newest kid in the block of West Singapore, I knew I just had to check it out. Whilst having a weird combination of eggs and berries as their brand, they definitely made their statement when inSing featured them as the top 5 brunch places in Singapore.

So what are you waiting for? Dig in to a world of lovely eggs and berries-filled pancakes here.

Besides the huge variety of brunch, E&B serves main courses, like steak, burgers and sandwiches. For this recent visit, I indulged in their signature Beef and Egg Burger (S$13.90) - an incredible caramelised burger sandwiched with tantalising, juicy beef patty, cheddar and sunny side-up. It is accompanied with potato wedges and side salad. For the affordable price, this burger is a must order for any meat lover.

Well, talking about brunch, we tried their highly-recommended Eggs Benedict (S$16.90). Two poached eggs drizzled with hollandaise sauce upon two fluffy English muffins with bacon, ham and rosti. My only complaints were that the eggs and sauce are too runny. Compared to W39 Bistro, their rendition loses a tad in terms of quality and price, nevertheless, it still makes for a lovely breakfast.

To complete the meal, we had their Sweet Groovy Mango Smoothie (S$6.50) - a tangy, refreshing drink that is sure to satisfy and quench any thirst. In conclusion, E&B proved to be yet another lovely brunch place for a lazy weekend. Desserts-wise, I will definitely be back to savour what they have to offer.
